Set Up Your Payments

When you log in to Amazon Music for Influencers for the first time, you're required to set up your banking information. You need to do this so you can be paid for promoting Amazon Music.

  1. Look out for the payment settings link in the yellow notice bar. Alternatively, in the screen's upper-right corner, select [Your name]
    Settings.
  2. From the left navigation menu, under Settings, select Payments.
  3. Select a payment method:
    Electronic funds transfer (EFT or Wire) PayPal
    Note
    All information such as Address, Name, and Bank Details should be updated in English only.

    Bank location countrySelect the country in which your bank account is based from the drop-down menu.
    • Some countries may incur a small processing fee for EFT withdrawals.
    Beneficiary account nameEnter the bank account holder's name for the account to which you are withdrawing your money. This must exactly match what your financial institution has listed.
    Bank Account Number or International Bank Account Number (IBAN)Depending on your country, enter the required bank account number or IBAN number.

    Validation Rules:
    • Must be numeric
    • Depending on your country, there are length rules.

    Bank account typeFor partners with bank accounts that request it, use the drop-down menu to select the type of bank account that will receive the funds: Checking or Savings.

    If you selected Mexico or Japan as your Bank location country, this option won’t be visible.

    ABA Routing number or BIC/SWIFT CodeFor partners with US-based bank accounts, enter your bank's routing number. This number consists of 9 numeric characters.

    For partners with Mexico- or Japan-based bank accounts, enter your bank’s SWIFT code. This number consists of 8 or 11 alphanumeric characters.

    • Select how often you want to get paid by setting up Autopay:

      Balance ThresholdSelect this option if you want to withdraw your balance after it reaches a set amount (which you can set from the drop-down menu).

      If your balance is above the chosen threshold, the withdrawal will begin processing, sending the funds to your payment method.

      Fixed daySelect this option if you want to withdraw funds on either the 1st or 15th of a given month. The withdrawal will begin on the day chosen, and if the date chosen lands on a weekend or bank holiday, the withdrawal will begin on the next business day.

      The payment thresholds depend on the country and currency. However, you must have at least $10 USD (or your currency equivalent) for a Fixed Day withdrawal to initiate.

    • Select Save Payment Method.

Primary Phone Number & Billing Address

For the next sections you'll need to fill out both your phone number and billing address. This information is necessary to validate payments and ensure the right payments are made to the correct accounts.

Phone Number

  1. Select the country that your phone number is from.
  2. Enter your 10-digit cellphone number without spaces or special characters.

Billing address

The information provided in this section needs to be in English alphanumeric characters only due to banking requirements:

  1. Select the country in which your account is held.
  2. In Address line 1 and 2, input the address that you have registered on your bank account. This would be the address you would have your bills and statements etc., posted to.
  3. Select the city that your above address is located in.
  4. Select the state that your above address is located in.
  5. Enter the zip code for the state and City you selected above. The zip code should consist of 5 digits.
  6. Select Save Address to save both the billing address and phone number information.

Tax settings

For you to receive payments and to ensure your payments can be processed, you are required to submit a tax form.

  1. In the upper-right corner of the screen, select [Your name]
    Settings.
  2. From the left navigation menu, under Settings, select Tax.
  3. Select from the forms below based on your primary country of operation:
    • W-9 Form: If you or your business is based in the United States.
    • W8-BEN Form: For individuals not based in the United States.
    • W8-BEN-E Form: For influencer business entities not based in the United States.
  4. Select Continueto use the in-app DocuSign secured frame to fill out the tax form fields highlighted in red.
    Validation criteria for filling out tax forms:
    Note
    If a Tax ID or SSN is not relevant for your country (i.e. outside of the US), input "NA" instead.

    NameIf you're an individual filing a W-9 or a W-8BEN, make sure your name submitted on Line 1 exactly matches the name you provided in the Beneficiary Account Name field on the Payment screen, otherwise, you won't be able to withdraw your funds via EFT.
    Organization nameIf you're an influencer business entity submitting a W-9 or a W-8BEN-E, make sure your business name submitted on Line 2 exactly matches the name you provided in the Beneficiary Account Name field on the Payment screen, otherwise, you won't be able to withdraw your funds via EFT.
    Finance checking protocolThe finance checking protocol takes into account:
    • Case-sensitive (lower and upper-case lettering)
    • Full-stops/periods/commas/question and exclamation marks
    • Special characters
    • Spacing
    Form W-9
    • The W-9 form needs to be fully completed, signed, and dated.
    • Line 1 in the form always needs to be completed even if you have completed line 2.
    • Only one Organisation type must be selected.
    • The Company name on the W-9 form needs to match the Beneficiary name in the account under Payment Settings (excluding PayPal).
    • The EIN/SSN number on the W-9 form needs to match the EIN/SSN provided in the account. Reach out to support to confirm that these numbers match.
    • The Organisation type on the W-9 form needs to match the Organisation type in the account. This can be confirmed under Company Information in the settings section.
    Form W-8
    • Country, mailing, and Billing address information should not indicate United States.
    • Any address information should match the information set in the Payment settings section of your account.
    • Name on the tax form should match the beneficiary name provided in the Payment settings section.
  5. Select Finishonce you are ready to submit your tax form. It should load with a message to confirm that your tax form is in review.
    Note
    If you update bank details after the Tax document was submitted, then a new Tax document will need to be submitted to trigger the automated validation.
